In an exclusive interview with offshorepokersites.com, Ian Garry accused Colby Covington of single-handedly ruining the UFC 303 card by refusing to fight him…
‘Scared’ Colby Covington Has Wrecked UFC 303 Card
Colby Covington claims it doesn’t make sense for him to fight Ian Garry at UFC 303 because the Irishman is ranked below him, but Garry responded angrily to the snub and accused ‘Chaos’ of cowardice;
Ian Garry: “In my opinion, Colby has single-handedly ruined the 303 card by not accepting this fight. That’s the perfect co-main event to Conor (McGregor) and (Michael) Chandler, and he’s running, and he’s scared. He doesn’t want anything to do with me because he knows that it’s going to be the biggest pay-per-view of all time, and if he agrees to fight me on that card – it’s also the biggest stage where he will get knocked out, and that is the biggest downfall of his career. He’s running scared.
“I don’t think there’s a world where Colby ever accepts a fight with me. I think he’ll talk about it to stay relevant and to stay on it from a social media point of view – you mention my name on social media you get a lot of likes, a lot of views, and a lot of traction, so Colby will talk about me to stay relevant, but I don’t ever see a world where he’s man enough to stand in the Octagon with me, backing up the s**t talk.”
I Will Maul Sean Strickland If He Stands in Front of Me
Sean Strickland took trash talking to a different level when he called Garry’s wife Layla a sexual predator. ‘The Future’ kept his composure throughout their beef but aimed a thinly veiled threat in Strickland’s direction when asked about the former UFC Middleweight Champion;
Ian Garry: “He’s had a public breakdown and that’s for him to go figure out. I hope he gets his help. I hope he gets better and I hope he stays out of my way, because if he’s put in front of me I will maul that man. I just want a f**king fight, I genuinely want a fight. The amount of people I’ve said yes to this camp and it hasn’t come back. All I want to do is fight. All I’m excited to do is to go out there and compete at the highest level against the best guy possible. All these people talking are not backing it up and that annoys me even more and makes me even more excited to fight.”
UFC 302 Main Event Prediction – Islam Too Good For Dustin
Current Lightweight Champ Islam Makhachev is set to headline UFC 302 in Newark against former interim champ Dustin Poirier. Garry made an ominous prediction for fans of ‘The Diamond’;
Ian Garry: “Islam’s different, he’s built differently. He has that unbelievable Russian sambo that is elite, crisp and clean. I believe Islam is too well rounded, too polished and just too clean for Dustin to have success against. Maybe he jumps on a guillotine again and just goes after him to make it happen, getting lucky like he did against Khabib. But I just see Islam being too good everywhere and making fewer mistakes and he will inevitably get the finish because over five rounds I don’t see Dustin Poirier stopping Islam.”
